  • Warmly greet and check-in patients
  • Verify and inform patients about insurance coverage and benefits
  • Ensure proper documentation of patient intake forms
  • Answer phones and schedule appointments
  • Assist in patient safety protocols per the CDC guidelines
  • Monitor patient flow throughout the office, properly communicating with the patients
  • Check out procedures including purchases / exam fees and pre-appointing future exams
  • Sanitize, organize and clean the exam rooms and office after each patient
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Reliable transportation, punctual and dependable
  • Friendly and upbeat with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Thrives in a busy environment
  • Strong multi-tasking and time management skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Team player with good interpersonal and listening skills
  • Must be flexible to accommodate schedule change(s) on short notice to fulfill business needs and have availability to work Saturdays
  • Previous experience with electronic medical records preferred, but not required
  • 1+ years' experience in optical/optometry industry preferred, but not required
